The HP Officejet Pro K5400dn is a low-cost ($200), high-quality color inkjet printer targeted at small- and medium-size businesses. It’s reasonably fast, its text and graphics prints are impressive, and the ability to print photographs (though not stellar ones) is certainly a bonus. And it definitely fills a small niche. This cheap printer is best for small offices on a tight budget that don’t need certain features, such as copying or scanning, and prefer an inkjet printer over a laser one because of the ability to produce photographs.

The Lexmark E321 is a generous and low cost printer which offers the same resolution (600dpi by default; 1,200dpi maximum), but is significantly faster, able to crank out letter-size pages at 20 pages per minute (ppm). Lexmark E321 also added 8MB of memory. The Lexmark E321 cheap laser printer looks great at rest. This printer weighs about 20-pounds and is small enough to fit in tight corners.
